The Noonday Volunteer Fire Department was formed in 1974 in Noonday Texas.

The department was located at where Loop 49 now exists. The department had to be moved.

Mr. Gilliland donated the land at 16619 Hwy 155 South to the Noonday Fire Department and this is where the new department resides.
