Structure Fire. Scene size up showed the Garage of the residence
was fully involved and heavy smoke throughout the home. A
propane line in the garage was fueling the fire rapidly. Propane
was quickly turned off from the residence as well as electrical
power. Mutual aid was called for at this time from Flint-Gresham

to collapse. All firefighters were evacuated immediately from
the structure as the fire temperature was to the point of
melting the firefighters gear and leading to gear failure.
At this point NVFD had to go Defensive. The structure was
vented in multiple areas of the roof. The fire spread rapidly
and became uncontrollable. ND Engine 1 then put a 4th attack
line into action and was able to gain control of the fire
and extinguish it. The area was overhauled and all units returned
to service. NVFD would like to thank

Aid.
