Requirements

The Noonday Fire Department is always seeking new recruits. Here at Noonday Fire Department, you will find that it is a very Team/Family oriented atmosphere. It is a Great way to get involved and give back to your community. We work hard to keep our community and other communities safe as well. If you feel like you want to be a part of our amazing team of firefighters and medical personnel, there are just a few requirements to join:

• Must be at least 18 years of age (Junior FF Program Available)
• No prior training or firefighting experience is necessary
• Must fill out a complete application and be able to pass a criminal   background check/Drug test (if requested)
• You must reside within our fire district
• You Must attend 3 consecutive department meetings

Our Membership requirements in our Standard Operating Procedures (Section III Subsection A and B) that:

EXCLUSIONS:

a. No DUI or DWI convictions within the last 7 years.
b. No Felony convictions or pending convictions of any degree within the last 7 years.
c. No more than three moving violations within the past two (2) years.


Note: All cases may be considered on a case by case basis with a final decision made by majority vote of the Fire Department Officers.


Membership Benefits

Training:     All firefighters will receive free training either given by the department or paid for by the fire department.
Gear:          We offer free gear after you are voted on such as: Bunker Coat and Bunker Pants, Fire Boots, Helmet, Gloves, Nomex                       etc.
Leadership: There are always opportunities for advancement for ALL firefighters and medical personnel
Internet:      Free internet access for all members is provided
Family:      Being a member of Noonday Fire Department will give you a good sense of camaraderie and friendships that will last                      forever.
• Insurance: The Department will provide Insurance that protects you in the event of injury while responding to the station for an                      emergency up to the time you leave the department after responding to the emergency. Insurance is provided through                      VFIS.
