How Your Donations Help the Noonday Volunteer Fire Department.

Noonday Fire Department consists of a 100 percent volunteer force. The majority of our funding for fire trucks, gear, fire fighting equipment, etc. comes from donations made by the communtiy. All donations, in any amount are helpful to the Volunteer Fire Department. In fact, by combining donations from members of the community and grant money that we have received, we have been able to purchase a brand new tanker/pumper. This tanker will allow us to have 3000 more gallons of water instantly upon arrival of a structural fire and give us a much better advantage than we have had in the past.  This will also lower our ISO rating and in turn lower the home owners insurance rates. This Volunteer Fire Department runs soley off donations. Your Donations keep your Fird Department in service and ready to respond to your Fire and Medical Emergencies.

Why Should You Donate?

If your house was to catch on fire today, who would put that fire out? For a vast majority of citizens in this county and just America in general, the people who will put out that fire out will be volunteers. The Firefighters responding to the call will be the same people who are also your local business owners, bank tellers, and mechanics. Volunteer Firefighters do not get paid to come to your house and answer your calls. They do it because they care. This would not be possible however without your continuing support by donating to your Fire Department. Most are not aware that the Fire Department will be the first agency to reach you in a Medical Emergency. Most are also unaware that your Fire Department has Volunteer members that are Paramedics just like the ones on the ambulances that show up at your home. In fact, Most of the paramedics on your fire Department work for local ambulance services. In addition, If you were in a Motor Vehicle accident and were trapped in your vehicle, who would get you out? Thats right! Your Fire Department! We are the one with the Jaws of Life and we use them quite often to remove individuals from vehicles where they are pinned in and the paramedics are unable to treat these individuals until they are safely extricated.  To be able to resond to these calls, with the tools necesary to preform these tasks requires funding, and the only funding that we get comes strictly from donations. Please consider donating to your communities Fire Department. Thank you for your consideration.
